25 things

I'm here with not much to do, so I figured I would write 25 things about myself that you probably wouldn't know about me! Some of them you probably will know if you know me well... I'm a pretty open book... Here goes!

1. My favorite thing to photograph is Children. They're so precious and photogenic.
2. Speaking of precious, I collect Precious Moments. I think I have about 20.
3. I've always wanted to be a nurse, but I didn't think I was smart enough. True story. Lame I know, but true.
4. My favorite food is garlic cheese bread. Specifically the "Three Cheese Toast" from Boston Pizza. Mmmmmmm...
5. If I could have the talent of any famous person it would be the voice of Demi Lovato. I absolutely love her voice. Yes, she's the girl from camp rock. Listen to this video: (Its a bit much, and I don't like when people mess with a national anthem, but just listen to her VOICE... incredible). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmz_FFrPZ5c
Another thing, she's a christian, and has a tattoo of a Bethany Dillon song, which makes her even more awesome.
6. I used to love LOST, but since around the end of season 4 I got completely turned off from it. But, yesterday I bought season because I MUST see how it ends.
7. I cry a LOT. Confrontations, happiness, sadness, frustration. Pretty much my reaction to any extreme emotion.
8. I have never been more determined about something since Nursing school. I am determined that I will do well, and succeed. It takes a lot or work, but when you're determined, it makes it so much easier.
8. My number one played song on iTunes/my iPod is "If Only" from the Broadway version of the Little Mermaid.
9. I can't see myself as a mother of a whole bunch of girls. I see myself having all boys. I'm not sure why, but time will tell I guess.
10. Right now I am listening to the Camp Rock 2 soundtrack. I love it. Come on September 3rd so I can watch it.
11. I've been learning recently to not hold your treasures in earthly things. Everytime I think about having something new I say "Why, I don't need it". I like that I keep thinking about it. Thats what God is doing in my life. I've also been trying to put others before myself.
12. My biggest pet peeve is when people don't move out of the way for emergency vehicles (ambulance/police/fire trucks). Drives me.
13. Thirteen is my favorite number. Mainly due to Taylor Swift, which is sort of lame, but you know. I've always had a thing for it because its my Birthday, and people think its bad luck. So I like to give the number 13 the benefit of the doubt.
14. My room is usually a mess, but messes actually drive me insane. Maybe thats why I'm always so crazy...
15. I haven't been planning my own wedding, despite what every other girl my age has done at some point. So many people getting married now that if you plan, then people will just "steal" your ideas. I do it for my own sake. The day I get engaged on the other hand, I will finally get to plan. And it will be well worth the wait.
16. I have dropped my MacBook 3 times. You think I'd learn? Apparently not. (Two of which were in a one week period... huff)
17. I had "cosmetic surgery" ha. Sounds bad, but its true.
18. My celebrity crush is Patrick Dempsey. Not so much of a secret, but like I said. I'm an open book.
19. I always said I didn't like tuna fish, but I'd never tired it until last week. And guess what? Its grosser than I thought.
20. Laura, Allison and I talk everyday on FB. Without my dose of these ladies, my life would be pretty lame. We've had a new thread everytime one of us is away from the others. Now we have a thread called "This is the thread that never ends..." Because Allison is a wife living in the States...
21. I don't have a lot of "friends" I have mostly "Best Friends".
22. I can quote (mostly in their entirety) Toy Story (I), The Princess Diaries (I), 27 Dresses and the entire "Friends" series, and proud of it.
23. I love studying in 2 ways: a. by myself in the library with my iPod in (I have a studying playlist) and b. With Eric. For real. He asks me questions and won't give up until I get them right. He is so helpful. I think I will keep him around :)
24. I love travelling. I want to go to all 7 continents... I know this is impossible pretty much since I can't see myself going to Antarctica, but you never know!
25. I have a bucket list... ever since I saw "A Walk to Remember". I feel so good when I can cross things off it.

That was hard, but not as hard as I thought. (oh, and I have 2 number 8's. Oh well! haha

Another friend getting married this weekend, so Bachelorette party tonight! I hope you are all having a great day!

Back at it...

So, here goes nothing again. I figured I'd get this started up again because it seems blogging is coming back with my friends! Mainly for one reason... people are growing up and moving away, and this is an easy way to keep in touch! I figured I would try again for them.

Jillian - Even though we didn't hang out too much, you're a person I can pretty much tell anything to. And I'm going ot miss you SOOOO much when you move away to BC
Allison - Don't know if you'll read this, but this is for you to know what I'm up to. Not that you won't be busy studying and being a WIFE in OH, but you never know.
Jillian P - I guess this is for you too! I know you'll read it, so maybe I'll talk about what I've read in the bible and all that good stuff and we an be kind of prayer buds? Who knows.

So, I'm really going to try to keep this up and on the go. Maybe a post a week or something, or whenever something happens worth talking about.

Another reason: This summer while I was in Ontario with the family, I watched Julie and Julia. In case you haven't seen it its about this woman who makes a plan to cook EVERY recipe out of the Julie Childe cook book, and she blogs about it. She pretty much becomes famous (not really what I'm going for, but you get the idea). You never know who is going to read this and get something out of it.

Here is a summary of my summer for all of those who are wondering (its been quite eventful):
- Ontario heat Wave
- Eye Surgery (which went SUPER well. I'm pumped)
- Saw Dave Matthews Band in Concert - amazing. The best live show I've ever seen, and probably ever will see. Shake it like a Monkey baby
- Pop passed away. Hard, but good. He's been suffering for a while now. I miss him though. One of the most Godly eople I've ever met. I hope I can live a life half as good as him.
- Watched my Best Friend get married. So surreal. But the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to.
- Met new best friends who, even though they live "far" away, will be my friends for a long while.
- Went to JMC and tried to touch some kids lives
- Saw the Backstreet Boys for the second time. Childhood dream x2.

So its been a good year.
Talk to you next week!
